SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
Tho monthly Ceilidh of the Scottish Society was held on Thursday evening, when there was a largo attendance of members, their families and friends, including several recent arrivals from Home. Chief J. S. Chisholm, who presided, supported by his chieftains, extended a hearty ■welcome to those present. Piper J. A. Patterson opened with a selection on the greai Highland War Pipe. The chief referred to the absence of several of the old members through illness. The following musical and other items were rendered during the evening: Selections by the Society's Pipe Band; songß by Miss Collins, Miss Stallard, Hiss McBrath, Mrs Scott; a duet by Mrs and Miss Stallard, Messrs G. Cordner and C. Bills; banjo selection of Scottish air, Mrs Reeves; humorous song, Mr Woodward; recitation, Mrs Hugh McLeod. Dances: Fling, Mies Nancy Chisholm; Seann Tryubhais, Miss McLeod; Highland Reel, Misses Guthrie, Morehead, Chisholm, and Gambett. The acoompanistes were Mrs E. A. Smith and Miss Collins.
