THE DEEDS OFFICE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE FHESS." Sir,—You deserve the thanks of the community for upset uiig the prevalent and mistaken idea that the Deeds Offi--is open only to members of the legal profession, and is inaccessible to the general public. My own experience in that office was that ] called to obtain information for which I was willing to pay, but no one paid any attention to my presence at the counter, and 1 am ashamed to say that after waiting
about 20 minutes" I went out again, concluding that 1 was an intruder. Lawyer's clerks who cam© and went in the meantime were attended to promptly enough. I might add that 1 am still without the information I then sought'.—Yours, etc., * JOB. . March 6th, 1924.
