Tho entertainment industry has drawn over £IOO,OOO during the past year in foes, copyright royalties and salaries far wireless concert* totalling 17,500 hours' transmission. It is estimated that there aro three. listencrs-in for each license. Therefore, including pirates, aver 2,000,000 people are entertained daily, at a cost of half a farthing a head. Tho effect on trade is shown by tho London Directory, in which the number of firms dealing with apparatus doubles in a year.
