TOURIST TRAFFIC.
BETTER FACILITIES DESIRED. (PSES3 " ASSOCIATION TELEOttAM.) , WELLINGTON, February 0. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce the question of accommodation for tourists was discussed. The opinion was expressed that the accommodation was not up to requirements and would have to be improved it New Zealand wanted to attract large numbers of tourists. A conference between the Chamber and hotel licensees was suggested. After discussion, the following resolution was carried : —"That a specialcommittee be set up to consider and report on the question of developing the tourist traffic -on lines calculated to ensure a large increase, and that suitable accommodation and adequate facilities are available to cope with such increase in a,way which will create a permanent and profitable source ■-* revenue to the Dominion."
