Ho denounced tho Government for reckless expenditure, and urged tho disposal of State trading concerns and tho appointment of a Board to control group and soldier settlements. Mr Thomson said the fight was not ■whether tho executive of the Primary Producers' Association should have the right to endorso candidates for Parliament, but a fight of tho country districts and .their interests against vested interests. Tho Country Party had made a mistake in not selecting men to represent it in tho Coalition Ministry, and as a result their Ministers becameSir James Mitchell's Ministers. Tho Country Party favoured tho cooperation of tho "West Australian and the Imperial Governments in an immigration scheme, as migration was prcferablo to retention of a surplus population in Great Britain on unemployment doles.
