The Paris correspondent. of the '' Daily Telegraph'' says that tragic illustrations of the laxity of the law, regarding the sale of firearms continue. Alice de Lort, a dressmaker, who two years ago was sentenced to four months' imprisonment for firing a revolver in the street, fired five 3hots in the Boulevard de Madeleine during tho busiest ohopping hoars -of Saturday night. Three people fell seriously wounded.
Tho police with difficulty saved the woman from being lynched. She said sho was surrounded with enemies, so decided to kill the lot. • None of tho wounded had ever seen de Lort before. One has two bullets in the stomach, a second a bullet in the liver, and the third a bullet in the chest. In another district .1 bottle merchant shot and,killed a neighbour under the delusion that neighbours were stealing his safe. Threo loaded guns and a revolver were found in the man's rooms when the police entered by means of bullet-proof shields.
