N.Z. LABOUR PARTY.
A successful meeting was held in. the Islington Social Hall last night, under the auspices of the New Zealand Labour Party, and addressed by Mr J. V. -Mclh-ridc, AI.P. for Napier. The speaker gave as his reason for tho campaign that members of Parliament should become conversant with conditions and requirements of the Dominion. He made a strong indictment of the Government'a administration, and dealt exhaustively with, land, finance, capital levy, and tho naval base as Singapore. At tho conclusion of tho meeting a large number joined tho local branch of tho party, and a substantial amount was subscribed. A vote of thanks to tbo speaker was carried fry acclamation.
