' ■ ■ ■ —•— (MESS ASSOCIATION TELEGHAII.) DUNEDIN, January 31. Earl Cassillis was accorded a civic reception- in tlie Town Hall to-day, when there was a representative gathering of citizens. Later, he Svas entertained at luncheon by tho Eotary Club.
There was a large attendance of Freemasons at the Masonie Lodge this evening, when Earl Cassillis, Grand Principal of the Grand Koyal Arch Chapter of Scotland, installed Most Excellent Companion T. Ellery, of Gisborne, as Grand Superintendent of New Zealand S.C. His Lordship also consecrated a new Chapter, Kilwinning Peninsula, No. 573, S.C. ,
