ST. ALBANS SCHOOL.
Tho St. Albans School Committee held a special meeting on saturuuy night, the *o-iowing being present:—Messrs Moore Uangerlield, Green, Sey, Jacitson, Wilicox, and Hilisdon The Jiducation Board notimd the appointment of Miss .Davis as assisvamt m'.sutsJ, and forwarded the names of two app.icants for a position cn the teaching stuff.. After a ballot. Miss Kennedy wu3 declared elected. The Board forwarded a map of the proposed alterations of ecnool boundaries between Papanui and St. Albans. Messrs Moore, bey, and Hilisdon were appointed a committee to go into the matter, and, if necessary, wait on Hie Board. Messrs Cr. T. Grover and E. Hayes were elected to ■fill two vacancies on the committee. Mr Geo. Soy was elected deputy-chairman. A letter was received from iho Automobile Association, asking how many signs were needed for the school. It was decided to have two placed in "Westminster street and two in Trafalgar street. The Asphalt Committee gave their report, and it was decided to have the asphalting done immediately.
