Later in tho day quito a "eea" was running, and tha skill of oarsmen was fully tajted. There was a good attendance, tie special train from Christchurch boins well patronised. A largo number from tho city by road, while the surroundin? countrv" districts were strongly represented. The Avon K.C. had a field day, with five wins, two seconds, and a third, their prizes being to tho value of £54. The "Union R.C. were second with £2S,. for three firsts, one second, and five thirds, just ahead of the Canterbury R.C.. f26,' for two first, two ■ seconds, and one third. The D.C.L. Cup is in art interesting state now, and the Kaiapoi Regatta will be invested •with much interest, for the Avon R.C. now have a tally of 74 points. Union R.C. 70 points, Canterbury *K.C. 35 points, and Akaroa B.C. 30 points. • Tho following are the results of Saturday's racing:— Senior Double Sc-ulls; first £lO, Becond £3; ljm— Canterbury R.C.
