SALVATION ARMY.
CHANGES IN STAFF.
Changes havo been made in the staff of tli© Salvation. Army in Canterbury.
Major R. Barnes, who has been in charge of the Army's industrial home for men at Addington for a fairly long time, and who has been a regular attendant at the Magistrate's Court, in Christchurch, will retire from active service. He will be succeeded by Major D. McAulay, now in charge of the Men's Inebriate Home, Rotorua. Major Barnes will continue to lire in Christchurch.
The following transfers have been made:—Commandant H, Cook (Temuka), to take charge of St. AlbansCommandant Hilda Dettman (in charge of the "Women's Rescue Home, Christchurch, and Probationery Officer for Women), transferred to the Children's Homo, Anderson's Bay, 2>un&3 in; Commandant R. Sanson (Christchurch City Corps), transferred to Wellington South; Commandant E. Gibbs (Timaru) to succeed Conynandant Sanson in Christchurch; Commandant J. Hulquist (Christchurch) transferred to Waimato; Adjutant A- Calcott (Gore), to„take charge at Ashburton; Adjutant W. Sawyer (Waimate) take charge at Temuka; Adjutant A. Baker (Dunedin), to take charge of the Papanui road Rescue HomeEnsign L. Tong (Westport), U, take charge at Rangiora; Ensign Heal (Wellington). to take charge at Kaiapoi • Ensign W. Fraeer {Dunedin), to take charge at Lin wood; Enaign E. Matthews (Leeston) to take charge at Oxford.
