ST. ALBANS BURGESSES.

The monthly meeting of the St. Albans Burgesses' Association was held in the. St. Aibans Public Library, Mr "W. Thomson presiding- over <i good attendance of members. Several new members were admitted. A letter was received from the St. Albans Swimming Club, asking for support, and inviting any members to the baths. It was decided to adopt the report of the executive in regard to the raising of funds for the children's playground in St. Albans Park. A strong committee was formed to visit tne bowling and tennis clubs, together with the school committees, and lodges in St. Albana, soliciting their support. It was decided to hold a flower show early in February. The offer of Mr Johnson to give a lantern lecture on the N.Z.E.F. campaign from Egypt to Jerusalem was accepted with thanks. It was resolved to hold tho next meeting in Februarv.
