AQUATICS.

REDCLIFFS REGATTA. Redcliff3 will ba tho Mecca of thousands this afternoon on the occasion of the annual regatta and gala. There is « lull progiumrne of lowing events, also punt lace and Sea Scouts' race. . There will alas be eeen out tne fleet of graceful yachts racing in their various classes, also motor speed boat events, and a display of aquaplaning. Launch trips will be run on the estuary in the popular Pacific On the "and the attractions are many and varied—side-shows of a-il descriptions, races for young and okl, tea And refreshment tents, produce, cake and loilie Stalls, surprise packets, pony rides for children, tuple chute, Christmas tree, and many other attractions. In the evening there will ba an -2 fresco cabaret dance on. illuminated groundß. The Woolston Band wall play in the afternoon, and the Sumner Marine (Band will follow, and for the dancing and cabaret evening Brooks'a Ja.e Orchestra will provide music. On Monday evening a- boxing tournament for youths will be held, UNION ROWING CLUB. During the past week the Union BowingClub has been rowing off the Now Msnibefs Double Sculls for the Life Membom' Cup, for which nine crews entered. Of these two. dropped out, but the remaining seven mad&s good progress apd the racing wa» of a high standard for beginners. The results were as follows: D. Neil and W. Greenway beat L. Beardsley and R. G. Todd. This was a good race to Stanmoro bridge, where the winners gradually drew away. .. F. G. W. A'Cburt beat iT. T, McGee and F. Rogans by two lengths. C. Watson and R.
