PARIS, December 2.
On October 25th, Philippo S>audet, tho fifteen-year-old son of 51. Ltkm Daudex, tho Royalist leader and director of tho newspaper -i Action Franchise," was round dead in a taxi-cab with a revolver bullet in his he ail.
It was generally assumed that the lad had committed suicide, but, following upon the receipt of lresli information, notably a statement, by the anarchist journal ■\LibertUiro : ' that Philippe, before taking his life, had enrolled as a member of the anarchist party, the father can.e to the conclusion that his son had 1.-een assassinated, and requested the Public Prosecutor to take steps in order that justice nyght bo executed.
Tile father, owing to his campaign against anti-Nationalist elements in France, has created a host of enemies amongst the anarchists. Last January Maurice _Plateau, seoretary of "Action Francaise,'' was shot while in the office by a girl named Gerniaine Bernthon.
According to ''Liberttaire" Philippe, who was of an extremely nervous and morbid temperament, visited the o2ice of that journal, and offered, without revealing his identity, to avengo Mile. Bernthon in the event of her conviction.
Philippe left <a letter addressed to liis mother, wherein lie stated that lie had long been an anarchist, and added: "Now the cause calls me, I think it is my duty to do what I am about to do." The father is convinced that his son intended to act as a secret agent for tho Patriotic Party, but was identified and either murdered or terrorised into suicide.
