SUMNER BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION.
The regular meeting of the Sumner Burgesses' Association was held on Saturday evening, the president, Eejv. W. 'McAra, in the chair. It was reported that from advice received by the Borough Council, che recommendations regarding tram stops ia Nay land street would probably be adopted in the interests of public safety. The sub-committee appointed to wait on the general manager of the Tramway Board reported that the suggestions offered had been favourably entertained. It was decided to draw the Tramway Board's attention to the bumpy state of the track between Fitzgerald avenue and Madras street, between Heathcote bridge and Mt. Pleasant, and also between Redcliffs and Monck's Bay.
