The possibility of the motor-lorry being utilised to convey wool clips various parts of the Southland district straight into the wool stores in Invercargilj has been considered by more than a few farmers this season, and it is said it is probable that before long a large number of clips will be brought to town by this means. Already several farmers in the Western District have arr.iled themselves of this method of transport with an appreciable reduction in the cost, as compared with railway charges, and also m the time occupied in getting the wool from their sheds to the stores.
