A good deal of interest was manifested in this breed, as the sheep of It., and J. Beid (DarJield), Isaac Andrew.'(WaihaoDowns}/and L. "YV\ Storry (Southbridge) were pitted against those of J. A. Johnstone (Bushey Park), who won the ram championship at the recent Christchurch Show. The Otago exhibitor, however, maintained his Christchurch successes, winning both ram and ewe championships, and also the ewe reserve. 1. Andrew was second in the ram class over 30 months. L. W. Storry was first and reserve championship in 18 to 30 months ram, I. Andrew second, and R. and J. Reid hon. certificate. L. W. Storry was second and R. and J. Reid third, for rams- tinder 18 months. I. Andrew was first and It. and J. Tt-eid second for two rams under IS months. 1. Andrew' was first, second and third and L. W. fc>torry h c for shorn ram under 18 months. Mr Andrew was second and third for ewe above 30. months with lamb at foot In a strong entry of If ewe hoggets, L. W: Storry was first and third' and. I; Andrew second. Mr Andrew was first and L. W. Storry second and third for shorn ewe under 18 months. A notable feature in the ram awards was that Mr . Johnstone's ram, which was champion at Christchurch, was u'nplatipd to-day. Isaac Andrew, except fo: two entries from R. and.J ReiH, was the sole exhibitor in English Leicester, and the former scored all the ..awards. L. W. and J. E. Storry (Southbridge) took all the awards in the i Shropshire section. The display of beef Shorthorns was small but good. The bull championship went to 1,. "ft*. Storry's Westburn Marquis of Queensberry. The Eriesian championship, both male and female, were annexed by H. Allnut (Morven) The bull beat H. North and Son's last; years and the cow was the 1922 champion, then " a two-vear-old. Mr Allnut also won the class'for cow 1 in milk (Four years and over), first for .cow m milk (three years) -first for two-year-old heifers, .first in strongclass of yearlings, and second for cow in calf (three years or over) Si L R - c H^ ot k Rhodes exhibited a number of Red Polls. In draught horses E. E. Jenkins (Dunsandel) was first fc r yearling c*lts, and first for three-year T old filly.
