The estimate -f the ordinary Budget for 1924 is 1,270,000,000 yen, being a reduction of 104,000,000 on the current year's figures. It has been further agreed to cut 107,009,000 yen in the expenditure for the rest of the current year. PROGRAMME FOR DIET. (Sydney "Sun" Service.) TOKYO, November 14. The Diet will hold a special session to consider reconstruction, vote credits, sanction Imperial ordinances issued during the earthquake, and consider the Government programme, including manhood suffrage, the law recognising and regulating trade unions, and the Landlord and Tenant Arbitration Act. LUxMBER FROM RUSSIA. TOKYO, November 14. The Soviet steamer Kisinev has been finally permitted to land a cargo of lumber. The vessel brought relief supplies, which were refused, but were sold eventually to a private purchaser.
