One of the most daring and inhuman robberies in. this city of unusual crime occurred to-day. Two bandits ,i n an elevated railway station waited until two bank messengers carrying 43,600 dollars alighted from a train. The bandits opened fire without preliminary warning, killing both instantaneously, then seized the money, rushe'd down the steps and departed in a waiting automobile, racing through busy city streets at seventy miles per hour. The police frankly admit doubt of their ability, to apprehend the murderers.
