A large number of police strikers attended the Police Association rooms and agreed to ft resolution passed by the Council of tho Association that they should detach themselves from tho Trades Hall, and place themselves unreservedly in the hands of the Government. A meeting of Anglican clergymen carried a resolution that while not wishing to palliate the gravity of the offence of tho police strikers, they believed the Minister should reopen the question of reinstating tho men without discrimination.
