In the final rounds of the Australasian Boxing Championship contests, the New Zealanders gave good displays. Jones outclasses English with lefts and rights to 'the head. Tlie loser rallied in the fourth round. Boyton outpointed Wood in a close fight. The winner finished strongly. Purdy outpointed Mnir. This winner's was the best display of the series. His headwork was clever, causing the- loser to miss repeatedly. Purdy's left ltad connected frequently. Purdy. won in four rounds. Sinclair outpointed Thomson. There waa much clinging. Thomson fought gamely. The New Zealanders will leave Sydney on October sth. Following are the results: WRESTLING. Bantam-weight—J. Powell (Victoria) beat J. iSuUuian (Victoria) on points.
