WELLINGTON MERCHANTS' ACTIVITIES.
It is anticipated that tho sub-com-mittee of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, which is investigating matte; s relating to the trade between Can terbury and the West Coast, will sulv met its report' at the meeting of the Council of the Chamber to be held early next month. It » stated that there is a possibility of some "Wellington wholes houses establishing branches or stores in Chnstchuixh, in order to retain their business connexions with curtomere on the West Coast.
