Robertson, Professor of Physiology at the Adelaide University, replying to articles published in the "Medical Journal of Australia " casting doubt on the efficacy of insulin and declaring thai it is a dangerous drug by which hundreds of diabetics will be hurried into their graves, says that during the past eight months the University's bio-cliemical department has been manufacturing . insulin. A considerable number of severe cases have been treated by local physicians, and every case has been benfited, some to a most remarkable degree. Although many hundreds of doses have been- administered to children as well as adults, not a single instance of deleterious effect has been observed. Dr. Robertson admits that careless administration might be attended by some, slight degree of danger, but the same applies to all drugs.
