ANOTHER BRILLIANT PROGRAMME.

LIBERTY THEATRE TO-MORROW

WESLEY BARRY "RAGS TO RICHES."

LEATRICE JOY AS "MINNIE."

Why iB it that the appeal of tho theme of a boy's riso from rags to fiches is eternal and unfading, having a powerful hold on young and old alike? And -why is its message universal? 'lhe answer to these quesuons is given in "Rags to Riches," which is being screened, at tlie Liberty Iheatre tomorrow. freckled, inimitable Wea.ey Larry will bo remembered by all who saw him in "School Days." He typities tho unconquerable spirit of youth and its adventurous strain, which he always succeeds in communicating to his audiences. "Rags to Riches" centres about young Marmaduke Clarke, a wealthy child, who frets under the artificial formality .of his home, and pines for a little action. Ho gets his chance upon discovering a burglar in the house. When the socond-story artist escapes, Marmaduke pursues him and becomes his pal. Then the two roam through the country, while a gang of desperate crijninals shadow them for the tempting reward offered for Harma3uke. How the lad helps to capture the criminals makes for a climax which is ex- | citing and refreshing. The taking of "Rags to Riches" is said to have been attended by great danger to Wesley Barry, the producer, director ■ and camera-men. In one instance, Wesley, holding fast to the side of a trestle while, a train past, found his strength give' way, and dropped feet into the whirlpool, where he was fortunately saved by a camera-man, who swam to him. This is just the -vehicle for the irrepressible Wesley. He is at his best in this string of adventures, which beat even, the •wildest flights of imagination, and which will make you fall in love with this clever boy of Screendom. Be sure to sea "Sags to Riches." The second attraction -will do_ Marshall Neilan'a "Minnie," which has just been released by First National. Neilan seems to have the genius of Pickens for placing before the publio real human incidents and without any attempt, at exaggeration make his characters perform entertainingly and through fine contrasts is thought and actions, bring out delightful oomeuy and drama. His characters here are selected from a small town hotel, with the slavey Minnio as the focal point. Leatrice Joy and Matt ' Moore are . featured in "Minnie." Even the followers •of Marshall Neilan pictures will get a surprise, because Matt Moore for the first time in his career appears in character. As usual he' does a clever piece of acting, full of wholesome humour. And Leatrico Joy, who is known for her beauty, has covered up her prettiness and comes forth as a family drudge, and she leaves tho BCreen better for her excellent portrayal. Miss Joy and Matt Moore aro going to win new laurels with the showing o' "Minnie." The supporting programme wdll include the usual gazettes, and Special music by the Libertv Quality Orchestra, tinder the direction of Mr Howard Moody. Seats may bo reserved at The Bristol Piano Company, where the box plan is now open.
