DISPLAY QP NEW ZEALANDMADE GOODS.
Preparations are'actively ib hanef lor tho Canterbury Industrial Association's Industries Week, which is to' extend from September 18th to the 25th. The highlysuooessfullnduetrial Exhibition held in Ghristohurch lost year under the auspices and control of the Association, very effectively brought before the attention of those who vtstted it the vifriety and quality of the goods manufactured in tha Dominion* and good work was done in furtherance of the Association's slogan: "Support the country that you." Jt is not possible, of course, to have a similar exhibition .every year, and the principal object of Industries Week' is to prevent the effects of the excellent impression made by last year's exhibition being forgotten. The displays to be made will emphasise • tho lesson conveyed by the exhibition, that, the manufacture Of the Dominion are wbrtiiy of support by .tho people of the Dominion. The retail shops in .Colombo street from Armagh street to St. Asaph street in High' street to St'. Asaph street, and in Cashel street from High street to the Bridge, are- all making' special displays in their windows of New Zealand made goods. They, .will also display, signs on their delivery vans, and a special newspaper is to be issued at the beginning of the week to all householders in Gr9ator Ghristchurch. In order to call the attention of tho public to the displays being made, tho Association hopes to get the permission of the City Council to suspend appropriate signs under the verandahs in the streets where the business placed are situated in which exhibitions ''of Dominion-made goods will be shown.
