WAIAU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Waiau Cricket Wub was held in the Library Hall on Wednesday niglht, when thera was a ■ good attendance. Mr W. Chaffey, and Major J. A. Northoote; club captain, Mr H. -Dampier-Crossley; treasurer, Mr H. W. D. Sogers; secretary, Mr G. Burt; committee, Messrs D. L. Rutherford, S. L. Rutherford, W. Coles, E. P. H. Burbury, W. Harold Atkinson, A.- Buchanan, "P. C. Forbes, and W. S. D. Smale; selectors, Messrs G. Burt, ■F. C. Forbes, and the club captain; delegates to the Amuri Cricket Association, Messrs G. Burt and H. Dampier-Crcssley. The' annual subscription was fixed at 103 6d. In order to encourage juveniles it was decided that three schoolboys, to be selected by the teachers, be admitted as members of the club," of charge. It was resolved that the season shou'd be opened on September 12th, with ,a match, Old College Boys of the club v. the Rest of • tho Club. It was also decided that the cricket shield' should be presented to . ths Waiau South team on the opening day, and that members of the Rotherham and Culverden clubs be invited to be present. It was arranged that a working-bee for tha purpose of improving the grounds, should be held on September sth, and (Mi J. Higgins was appointed to take charge of the operationtf. Mr Burbury was appointed to wait on the Domain. Board witih a view to procuring a lease of the cricket area to the Cricket Club. The following new members w.re elected: Messrs G. W. Aldridge, A. H. Baker, R. C. Bean, D. Fechney, W. A. Martin, K. PettigTew, and Whiting.

KAIAPOI CLUB. The Kaiapoi Cricket Club held it 3 annual meeting, on Thur-day evening' Mr M. F. O'Donoghue presiding over a fair cttendance of members. The' report stated that the club had been represented in the Canterbury Cricket Association's junior and third grade competitionsduring the . past season, the team 3 being fairly successful. The proepects f.r the com'.ng season were very favourable, end the j committee ihoped again to enter two teams, in the compttitions. 0. Kitson iiad he did 1 the batting aveiage for the past season with 579 runs, averaging 41, and |M. P. O'Donoghue the bowling, taking 23- wickets for 394 runs, an average per wicket of 17.1. The report and balance-sheet, the .latter showing a small credit balance, were adI opted. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Hon. D. Buddo, M.P.; president, Mr J. H. BJackwell; vice-presidents, Messrs A. Goidon, A. Pearce, H. Wilson, E. Kussell, J. It. Murphy, J. W. Barnard, T. H. Drabble, D. Jones, Drs. Gillett and Kamsay; club captain,"Mr T. A. Morland; vicecaptain, Mr M. P. O'Donoghue; secretary, Mr H. Trustrum; treasurer, Mr A. Smith; committee, Messrs H. Rollinson, G. Green, W. Livingstone, EX Russell (jun.), G. Hammer; delegate to Canterbury Cricket Association, Mr A. F. RolJinson; auditor, Mr L. Collins; custodian, Mr H. Trustrum. The captains of the two teams with the secretary, were appointed a Selection Committee. It was decided to approach the Baiapoi Park Committee with a view to havinj improvements carried out to the playing ground before the commencement of the season.

It was resolved to hold the opening day on September 22nd.

SOUTHBRIDGE CLUB. The Southbridge Cricket Club held its annual meeting on Thursday evening, there being only a small attendance. Mr J. G. Free was voted to the chair. The finances' of the club showed a dcfic t of 19s 6d.

The following officers were elected for the coming year:—3?atron, Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; president, Mr W. Scott; vicepresidente, Messrs W. Lochhead, W. J. 'Woods, W. Gabbie, G. Coopet, P. Delargey, D. .Gilmour, X. McGill, J. Parkin; captain, Mr W. Eggleton; vice-captain, Mr W. Abbott; secretary, Mr J*. G. Free; treasurer, Mr W. Scott; selection committee, the captain and secretary. Mr W. Abbott moved that- the annual subscription "be 103, an increase of 2s £d over the previous year. The motion was carried. Mr R. B. B. "Willis was appointed delegate to the Ellesmere Cricket Association. The opening day was fixed for September 6th. „ , . On the motion of Mr Free, a vote of thanks "vcaa passed to all of bat& and other material to the club durng the puflt year.

LINWOOD CLUB. » The annual meeting of the Linwood Cricket Club will be held in the Kolleston street Hall on Monday, at 7.30 p.m. BOYS' ASSOCIATION.
