NEW WAR HORRORS.
SCIENTIST'S FORECAST.
,(Bl' CiBUB—PBKBB ASSOCIATIOH—COFYBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIA*! AMD 5.2. OABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, August 29. Professor A. M. Low, a wel-known scientist, writing in the "Nineteenth Century," describes a new war horror, the throwing of jets of water charged with electricity which will render cavalry obsolete, as horses are more readily electrocuted than men. Discussing the use of wireless in warfare, he says that it mil be possible to develop wireless power to such aa extent that by momentarily diverting Beveral thousand horse-power of a battle-plane engine it would be possible to destroy aircraft within a few hundred yards. It also would be possible to destroy the delicate rigging of aeroplanes by wireless heat.
