■ (pmss nusux) THAMES, August 28. A residence' owned and owinped by Mr J. Murdoch, Hikutaia, was tetaßr destroyed by fire while this owner was away.' The family were alt in the atulfcing shed. Before the alarm wax SJtvetu the flames had secured a good ban, exm it was impossible to cope witfe it. The> family lost nil its valuable jewellery, and was left with only its worhiag clothes.
