CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.
The fortnightly meeting of the Canterbury Hockev Association waa hold last evening. Present—Messrs S. G. Holland (president). L. Smith. H. Lamb, E. VT. Smith, E. Cummins, J. Johnson. W. D. Kirkpatrick F. Crawford, B. Morris, H. Bell. A. Hassall. C. Franklin, H. Warbnrton, find A. Battery The Canterbury Kugby Union wrote grantin" permission to play the Hat.h and Kankm Cup matches at Lancaster Pafk next Saturday. » . .. The Beferecu' Association wrote nominating Messrs M. Bugg and W. H. Down for toe secondary schools' match, snd Messrs C. Bellamv and "W. C. Bishop for the primary schools' game. In both, oases the nominar tions wore approved. _ Correspondence wa.3 received from tne Ota-*o Association' regarding the propose tournament, The matter cf bending a senior eleven to this tournament *«is left in the hands of the senior selector and llr F. Crawford. In connexion with the five-a-side tournament, it was decided to place on record the sen-ices of the supervisor, Mr L. Smith. Mr F. Crawford submitted ins report as manager of the Shield team, which travelled to Palmeiston North, and was thanked for the able manner in which he carried out .Ins In connexion with the Association's forthcoming smoke concert. Mr C. Franklin reported that arrangements were well in nana. A fine of 5s was imposed upon ike Wesley Club for playing an unregistered player. Miss F. "White will act as manager. LADIES' ASSOCIATION. Next Saturday representative matches as follows, will be played at Elisor's road: Canterbury "A" v. Otogo, at 2.45 p.m.; Canterbury "B" v.
