MR JOSEPH M'CABE'S LECTURES.
Mr Joseph McCabe, the famous Rationalist lecturer, has had a remarkable career,, and an exceptionally wido training end experience. For wmo years he was Professor of Philosophy and Ecclesiastical History at St. Antony's College, England, and he took tho course of Oriental Languages at I/ouvein University. This part of liia career closed at the early age of twenty-eight, when he waa Eectoii of Buckingham College. Sine© then he has devoted much of his time to the study of tho scientific side of modern culture, especially in it 9 bearing on evolution. Mr McCabe addresses himself to the general public, and has been successful in presenting the more fascinating results of modern science in clear, simple, and attractive language. His wide knowledge of ancient nnd modern languagos makes possible hie firsthand investigations cf the world's greatest thinkers and scientists. Mr McCabe hae translated such famous works as "Tha Evolution of Man" (Haeckel). "Einstein's Universe" (Nordmnn), "The Evolution and Progress of Mankind" (Klaatsoh), etc. He i» the author of many historical works, including "Tallyrand," "Empresses c-f Rome," "A Bio-graphical Dictionary of Modern Rationalists," etc., nnd many valuable works on Evolution, including "The A B C cf Evolution," "The Evolution c«f ■Civilis.-vtion," "loa Ages," "The Evolution of Man," "The "Wonders of the Stars." Mr McCabe will lecture at the Choral Hall ut>oii scientific subjects on July 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd, and) at the Liberty Theatre on Sunday, July 22nd.
