The Ghristckurch Technical High School w~LI resume on ikmday at the usual hour. The installation ceremony ot the Kangiora Ladies' Loyal Orange Lodge, Ko. 41, haa been ■postponed on account oi the influenzae Owing to the prevaJcr.ce oi influenza the Add.ngton Amateur Swimming Club's euchro end dance, which waa to have been held tonight in the Selwyn street Hall, has been postponed. A monster jumble sale will be held in the Foresters' Hall to-day, commencing- at 2.30 p.m. The concert which was to have been held in the Biccarton Town Hall to-night, haa been postponed until August 11th. The annual Home and Maori Mission Services will be held in Wesley Church, Fitzgerald avenue, tomorrow. At the morning service the Rev. E. D. Patchett will preach on "The Inspiring Mission of the Church/' and in the evening the Rev. T. G. Brooke, general secretary of the Home Missions Department, will bo the preacher. As S£r Brooke is retiring from the office of secretary this year, it will be the final opportunity of hearing him on this subject. The Eev. J. Napier Milne will deliver his monthly lecture ,at the Rugby street Methodist Church to-morrow at 6.30 p.m. The subject, "The Story of the' Christ and tho "World Crisis," haa been suggested by Giovanni Papini's notr dramatic "LiJo of Christ" and Mr "Winston Churc&ilSfl anesttE% boe&'sn 4ha tnotld'a criiia.
