PAPAROA MINERS' STRIKE.

SETTLEMENT EFFECTED. (SPBCIAL TO "THR ISMS.") WELLINGTON, July 12. It is announced here to-night that the dispute between the miners and the owners of the Paparoa mine ha? been settled in favour of the owners. The Disputes Committee to whom it was referred did not agree, and it was the'n referred to Mr J, W. Poynton, S.M., who gave a decision as above stated. Both sides had confidence ;in Mr Poynton, who himself had v once beep, a miner. He was brought down from Auckland to hear the case.
