The Wakatu, which has been under annual overhaul at Wellington, is due to-mor-row night, and sails on Monday evening for Kaikoura and Wellington. The Kennedy is due to-day from Wellington and is to sail to-morrow for Foxton direct. The Tees is due to-day from Greymouth with timber, and is to sail on Monday on the return trip, taking cargo. The Orepuki arrived yesterday afternoon from Greymouth, and is to sail on the return trip to-morrow. The Storm is due to-morrow night with coal from Westport, and is to sail on Mondav for Dunedin and Timaru. The Breezo, due from Tirnaru to-morrow morning, ia to load here for Wellington and Wanganui. The Gale should arrive on Sunday from Timaru. She is to load on Monday for Wellington, Picton wid Wangaaui.

The Calm is expected to-morrow morning from Wellington and is to sail in the afternoon for Bluff and Dunedin. The City of Bagdad is due here this morning from Wellington to disoharge New York cargo. She is to sail on Monday for Dunedin. Captain W. P. Collins has taken command of the Waifoemo temporarily at Napier, vice Captain A. C. Showman, who has gone to "Wellington for orders. Mr H. P. Miller haa relinquished the post of fifth engineer of the Wahine. Mr J. E. Dugdale, second engineer of the Waihora, has left that vessel, and Mr J. P. Burns, who has been on holiday leave, ! has rejoined her in that oapaoity. Mr P. G. Connolly has been engaged as third engineer of the Waihora. Mr E. Moody has joined the Mararoa in the oapacity of assistant purser, vice Mr F. Dight. . The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cable that the Armagh arrived at Colon on July Bth from London, bound for Fiji, Auckland, Wellington, Lytr telton, Dunedin, and Bluff. I It Is anticipated by the C. and D. Line ' that the Port Chalmers will arrive at Lyttelton about Sunday from London. She will unload at Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Hunter, which is loading at Bl.iff for New York, Boston, and Montreal, will leave Bluff to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due here on July 17fch. • Cable news has been received by the FedI eral Line that the Paparoa sailed from Liverpool on July 7th for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, via Panama Canal. The vessel is due a.t Auckland on August 22nd, and at Wellington a week later. Besides general cargo for each port, the Paparoa is bringing 89 ealoon passengers and 240 third-class. Definite news has been received concerning the French vessel La Marseillaise (Dalgety and Co.). She loaded at New York anc* at New Orleans, and was at Colon on June 22nd, and is expected to reach Wellington on July 22nd. Wellington will be her only New Zealand port of call, and she will put out a quantity of general cargo here. Later she will proceed to Sydney and Melbourne to complete discharge.
