CABLE ASSOCIATIOIrJ SDYNEY, July 6. • The conference of mine owners and miners was resumed to-day to discuss the proposals formulated by Mr C. J. Oakes with a view to effecting a resumption of work in the idle mines and safeguarding tho men against victimisation, which they alleged would follow if job control was abandoned. Later. The Coal Conference resumed to-day, Although no details are available it is known that some progress has been mado towards a settlement.
