THE FOOTBALL MATCH.

At the "annual football . match, Christ's College versus Boys' High. School, one can be certain of meeting all the friends and acquaintances that one has not seen for many months, and incidentally, of seeing the women'B winter clothes, en masse, and noting the charm and dignity of good furSj the (Undenjabfle smartness .of black with touches' of white, the cheeriness of vivid red hats the tragedy of wearing shades n:eant to match, but clasning ba-uly.the folly of spoiling a good effoct by wearing transparent stockings and thin shoes with a snug coat or warm highnecked costume.

The crowd yesterday at Lancaster Park was probably as large as on previous occasions, but it was not so representative—there were not nearly no many country people as in former years. The weather was delightful and the enthusiasm of the "spectators was infectious. It would be difficult to find a more joyous ?>and of boys than the pupils of the High Schooi yesterday. Long before 1 o clock, they werf firmly entrenched on the grand-stand, and thence onward they had not a dull moment, nor, for that matter, had any one seated within many yards of them. The m'ost cautious could not help' enjoying their\fun. It was their day and they wasted not one moment of it. The College boys' pluck was splendid, and they worked hard till the final bell rang.
