TENNIS BALL AT LOBURN.
The first ball of th© newly-formed Loburn Tennis Club, held in th© Coronation Hall, was a pronounced success, there being a very large attendance from the surrounding districts of Rangiora, Ashley,, Woodend, Sefton, North Loburn, Okuku, and Whiterock. The body of tlia hall was attractively decorated by an enthusiastic committee with native greenery and coloured streamers, and the supper was spread in the dining-hail, which also presented a festive appearance. The Sefton Jazz Orchestra supplied the music, and extras were played) by Misses Moore, Bevirigton. Criglineton, and Schmidt, and Mr M. Fitzgibbon. The duties of Masters of Ceremonies were carried out by Messrs F. It. Reynolds and H. Saxton. Among thooo present were: Mesdames E. Ashkm, who wore black taffeta and gold; X. il.
