ANNUAL MEETING. Tho fourth annual meeting of the Mayfield A. P. Association was held in the Mayfield • Hall on Saturday evening. The attendance was laTge; Mr Raymond Oakley, the retiring president, occupied the chair.. A vute of sympathy was mov.d, and carried in -silence, to the family of Mr D. Duff. IVRO, an increase of 649 over those of the previous year. The entries in the c li3ep, cattle, and horse pectoris repnßented a very hi_,h standard, and it was diTicult to accommodate the exceedingly large and fins-diVilAy of f-oolljerv, root, needlework, and vegetable exhibits. Brown will give special prizes of.flpprox ; mately twelve guineas in value, to be won in the juvenile and produce sections. The committee'resolved to take steps to secure, if possib'e, a permanent show ground. The new president, Mr F. G., Greenslado, was th»n formally inducted, and in reply to Mr R. Oakley's , expression ."of confidence, which was said on behalf of the Association as a whole, referred to the retiring president's hard wouk and unflagging zeal in pushing forward the interests of the Association. A vote of thanks to Mr Oakley for his s rvices as president was carried with acclamation ; Mr Grecnslade was welcomed with similar cordiality.
