The Australian Chambers of Commerce coniercnee resolved that united action be tal: en to better advertise Australian goods abroad, and to counter the movement jij Britain for the prohibition of the importation of flour. A motion in. fa vour of a reduction in the duty on Fiji bananas, with a view to regaining for Australia sortie of the lost Fijian trade, was negatived.
