AUSTRALIAN POSTAL RATES.
REDUCTION TO BE MADE. (b* cable— press association—coptbight.) (austhamak aito n.z. cable association; (Received May 23rd, 7.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, May 23. The Commonwealth Government has decided to reduce postal rates, but whether the reduction on letters will be to three-halfpence or penny postage will be restored has not yet been settled. Any alteration will require Parliamentary sanction before it operates.
