THE RECENT FLOODS.
RAILWAY SERVICES. Except on. tho Midland and Cheviot lines, the railway services in Canterbury' are again being fully maintained. On the Midland line trains will continue to run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the only inconvenience to passengers being that, until a bridge is erected over the landslip "between Nos 9 and 10 tunnels, near Avoca., they willi have to walk a short distance to pick up a. train awaiting them on the other side. On the Cheviot branch trains are not yet running beyond Spotswood. KAIAPOI RELIEF FUND. The following additional subscriptions to the Kaiapoi Flood Relief Fund have been received" at the Borough Council Chambers, Kaiapoi: —Amount previously acknowledged, £504 9s <3d; T.
