SUM OF £120,000 IN HAND. (BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPtBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON,' April' 25. It was announced during the Shakespeare birthday celebrations that the inhabit® ts of Stratford-on-Avon had contributed £IOO,OOO to' a memorial theatre fund, while the rest of the world had contributed £20,000. The Shakespeare Library, containing 15,000 volumes, the world's finest collection of literature on one subject, is without a librarian or catalogues, because the trustees have no funds.
