SYDNEY, April 26

In the recent intermediate examinations only 35 per cent, of the students passed in Latin, compared with an average of 70 per cent, in recent years. This led to a great outcry among scholastic institutions and parents, ivith the result that the Minister now announces that more passes will be allowed for late examinations, and that the system of examination will be revised.
