Hunt, S.M., j at the Magistrate's Court at WellingI ton, when a woman named Florence j Smith appeared for sentence on a j charge of stealing 2s. When the acj cused was previously before the Court, it was explained that money had teen missed by boarders in a certain private hotel. A trap had been set. and a marked two shilling piece had been found in the defendant's purse. "Convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, and" expenses to be paid," ordered the Bench "Don't ■ let me see you here again, or I'll send vou to Point Halswell," was the Magistrate's Darting-words to the accused.
