A Nottingham (England) woman has just celebrated the seventh anniversary of her commencement in business as a chimney sweep. She began during her husband's illness in war time. One day the chimney required sweeping, and determined to save the expense she borrowed the brushes of her brother, who is a sweep, and managed to do tiie task herself. At the suggestion of her neighbours she later took on orders for the work. "Since then/' she. said, 'T have hud plenty ol work. For the first five years i never had a day without an order."" She declared that her complexion had not suffered from the soot, but had improved, although she had been advised to wear a respirator.
