The Old Boys' Football Club sought permission to Withdraw their third grade team from the B section, under twenty, a.id have them transferred to the A section, open. In support of the application, the club explained, that they had insufficient players under twenty. Un tho other hand,' they had many players too old for the grade and who were deprived of a game; not being up to the second grade standard. The request 'was referred to the competitions committee. /' ■ The New Zealand Union, wrote stating that as travelling facilities had been suspended on April 25th (Anzac Day), the annual meeting had been postponed until Thursday, May 3rr'.

Sorimshaw, Fair, Lindsay and Kernr/thome. Of these the first two were, last Beason, senior players for the Cust Club, and their loss will seriously effect that club. On April 11th the secretary of the Kangiora Club was written to advising that the transfer of Messrs Scrimshaw and Farr oould not be granted. S. am sure your union will readily see the necessity of insisting that tho North Canterbury Club draws its players from within the hmindariea which were mutually agreed upon, at a conference at the opening of the _ 19.U season. It is known that a prominent member of the North Canterbury Club attempted to get into touch with flayers from two of our chibs with a view to enrolling new players for his own club. Uur senior competitions commence on May etn, and it is hoped that your union will take action in this matter before that date. The tu> regarding this point was quoted, and the chairman said it was clear that the club had no right to. pky those men if they were not resuTent in the district, without permission of the sub-union and of tne Management Committee.
