The secret marriage of Matliilde McCormick, granddaughter of John D. Rockefeller, is announced. It is the culmination of an international romance of the daughter of a wealthy father and mother. The mair age took place at a registry office in a .middle class district of London, where Mathilde has been living for three months. The, bridegroom is Max Oser, a Major in- the Swiss army and proprietor of a riding school whom Matinkle met while taking riding leswns during a holiday in Zurich when ages eight. Mathilda is now eighteen, tall and attractive. She handed the register the written consent of her father, who is the millionaire head of the International Harvester Company. There were no bridesmaids. The witness was a solicitor's clerk. The couple left for an unknown address in Scotland. The romance was known for several years to the parents, who first withheld and then gave their consent to the marriage.
