THE LATE ROLAND SHAW.
The funeral of .the late Roland Shaw, ■who met with a fatal accident on the Cashmere Hillq, took place on Tuesday last at the Sydenham Cemetery. 4'he cortege left the home of his parents, 130 Lvttelton street, Spreydon, and was followed by a> very large number of friends. The pall-bearers were Messrs J. Glover, G. Tindall, W. Roberts, N. Duff, H. Smith, and Chris Cfocks. The service at the graveeide jvas conducted by the Rev. C. C. Oldham, who extended- his deepest sympathy with the parents in tbeir' great loss. Floral tributes were sent by Mr J. Smith and Son, Miss Wilson, Mr and Mrs Sloan and family, Mr and Mis Glover and family, Mr and Mra F. A. Cocks, Mrs A. Ellis and family, Mr and Mrs Davidson, Mr and Mrs Duff, the Porters of the Christchurch Hospital, members of the Spreydon Cricket Club, lady supporters of the Cricket Club, Mr and Mrs E. and family, D. J. Johnston, Spreydon Rugby Football Club, Pat and Charlie Coaks, Mr and Mrs J>. Cootnber, Mr A. Cookson, Mr J. Porterfield, Mr Heyder, W. Mella, L. W. Campion, Mr and Mrs llowlett and family, Mr and Mrs W. Web*u> and family. The comrades of the deceased sent a beautiful artificial wreath.
