♦- , BOYS' ASSOCIATION. REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. The thiee boys' matches which were begun at Hagley Park on Saturday were concluded yesterday. In the under 18 years grade, the 'Wellington Boys' League had a onewicket win over the Canterbury Cricket Aseociation team, and in the under 16 grade, Canterbury won by 9 wicket 3. The under 15 game, between the Christchurch Primary Schools team selected by Mr F. Shacklock and the Canterbury Boys' Cricket Association team, was won by the Association by 4 wickets.

The victory for the Canterbury Assentation team in the under 16 grade carried with it the New Zealand Challenge Shield, which haa now been won by the Association two years in succession. Mr D. McKenzie, ot the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association, in presenting the 6hield to the winners, congratulated Christchurch cricketers generally upon having obtained the services of Mr F. Shacklock as a coach for the primary school boys. He expressed appreciation of the enthusiastic attention given to the promotion of cricket amongst 'boys by Mr J. Hayden, chairmaD of the Wellington Boys' League, and by the Canterbury Boys' Cricket Association. He congratulated Canterbury upon their win, and hoped that next year the Welling*ton boys would have the pleasure of winning the shieldi from such strong opponents.'. Mr J. Hayden, on behalf of the Wellington Boys' League, expressed thanks for the kindness with which the visitors had been treated during their stay in Christchurch. and said that he hoped that Wellington would have an opportunity to reciprocate next year. ■ Mr G.
