ZAGHLOUL PASHA TO BE RELEASED. LONDON, March. 31. The Foreign Office announces that it has ordered the release of Zaghloul Pasha from Gibraltar owing to the doctor's report that he needs a. complete change and a course of waters in Europe. • It is understood that the decision means the complete release of Zaghloul Pasha from British jurisdiction, and that he will eventually return to Egypt

NATIONALISTS' DEMAND. (Received April 3rd, 1.15 a.m.) CAIRO, April 2. The Nationalist Committee, in welcoming the release of Zaghloul Pasha, demands the release of the other Egyptian political prisoners. It says British members of Parliament in supporting this demand will be serving humanity and the interests of England. It is impossible for Egypt to accept independence qualified by terrorism and repression, and with the British forces of occupation cout;olßng the Egyptian Government.

Zaghloul Pasha, leader of the Egyptian -Nationalists, who is 70 years of age, has held high offices in Egypt. In iylß ho was arrested, deported to Malta, and subsequently released. In December, 1921, Zaghloul Pasha published a protest against the policy of the British Government. The British High Commissioner in Egypt, Lord Allejiby, prohibited him from all further participation in politics, and ordered him to retire to his country house. Zaghloul Pasha refused, sayimr that authority to give such an order' belonged only to the Egyptian ceonle. whose delegate he was, and on December 23rd, 1821 _; he was arretted and sent to.Suez. visorder.s then broke out in Cairo nnd elsewhere, and Zaghloul Pasha was deported in'a British the .Seychelles Island?, in the Indian Ocean.
