The Cygnet is to load to-day for Kaikoura, Motueka and Nelson. The Orepuki completed loading to-day for Wellington, "Westport and Greymouth. The Katoa loads to-morrow for Auckland and sails via Wellington. The Kauri, due on Sunday from Y> elling- ( ton, is to load for Auckland direct, Bailing; Wednesday. The Opihi is "to sail to-day for Auckland direct. She is due back on April 2nd. The Kakiha is now to load at Timaru ; on Mondav and at Lyttelton on Tuesday for ■ Nelson, and New Plymouth, sailing from here via Wellington. . The Port Caroline was expected to leave ; Bluff yesterday for Port Chalmers, Timaru ' Lyttelton and Wellington. According to a cable mesasgo received by the New Zealand Shipping Co., the steamer Krrol left St. John on March lGth foTiuckland, Wellington, Lyttelton ximaru Dunedin, Melbourne, and. Sydney. The vessel is due at Auckland on April 2ot" and at" Wellington about May 2nd. Cable news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Whakatane arrived at Sydney on March 18th to continue discharge of her cargo from the United Kingdom. The vessel will proceed nest to Newcastle to coal prior to coming to New Zealand to lond. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable news that the Dorset arrived at Colon on March 16th from London and Southampton, and sailed from Panama on March 17th for Wellington, where she is due on April 12th. The vessel will disembark passengers at Wellington and then proceed to Lyltelton, Dunedin, Napier, and New Plymouth to discharge her cargo.

HAURAKI AT AUCKLAND, The Union Company's trans-Pacific motor vessel Hauraki, 7113 tone, Captain D. Todd, arrived at Auckland from San Francisco on Monday morning. The vessel loaded at Ocean Falls, Powell Kiver, Vancouver, and San Francisco. She- arrived at Vancouver on February loth, and experienced very wintry weather at that port. There were two feet of anow on the Haivraki'a deck, and the thermometer registered 23 degrees below freezing point. On the coast a severe blizzard was responsible for three vessels being wrecked. The Hauraki completed loading at San Francisco, and cleared there on February 24th. Fine weather was experienced in the- Pacific until March 13th, when the wind blew strongly from the westward, accompanied by a rougih sea. It was thought to be the tail end of a hurricane, but the stormy weather only lasted a day, and was followed by fine weather to port. The run from San Francisco to Auckland was made in 20 days 8 hours, at an average of 11.6 knots. This-is the vessel's third voyage to New Zealand, n.nd her second visit to Auckland. The vessel's careo consists of esse oil and general merchandise. About 2000 tone of general cargo, including a large quantity of rollsi of paper, will be discharged at Auckland, as well as 20,000 cases of oil. The remainder of the cargo is for Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

The meeting unanimously oarried a re-'olu-tion endorsing the scheme and pledged itself to use every endeavour, t-y secure th= suppart of the ratepayers at the oom'ng- loan poll. The resolution expressed pleasure at the magnificent and increasing production, from the pastoral industries of the Tlumes Valley and surroundin? districts, and ur:;ed that in tbe interests of such districts a harbour scheme should be undertaken at the earliest possible moment.
